In order to receive full consideration for financial awards, students should submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by February 15, 2018. This Application is available starting on October 1, 2017, and can be completed online at www.fafsa.gov. When submitting the FAFSA, please use Kutztown University’s federal school code: 003322.
The Board of Governor’s Tuition Waiver Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who have an average of 3.0-3.25 cumulative weighted high school GPA and an 1100-1350 combined score on the critical reading and math sections of the SAT (new test). The Board of Governor’s Scholarships are limited and can be offered in halves and full depending on the applicants overall academic profile. All BOG’s are awarded on a first-come, first deposited basis.
The Sesquicentennial Academic Honors Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who have a 3.25 cumulative weighted high school GPA and a 1350 combined score on the critical reading and math sections (old test) or 1410 total (new test) of the SAT or 30 composite on the ACT. The student will receive $7,000 per year for four years as long as he or she participates in the Honors program, lives on campus for the first three years, and completes a minimum of 30 credits per year.
The President's Academic Honors Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who have a 3.25 cumulative weighted high school GPA and a 1200 combined score on the critical reading and math sections (old test) or (old test) or 1270 total (new test) of the SAT or 26 composite on the ACT. The student will receive $1,000 per year for four years as long as he or she participates in the Honors program, lives on campus for the first two years, and completes a minimum of 30 credits per year.
The Transfer Book Award is awarded to all first-time transfer students who enter Kutztown University with any type of Associate's degree. This is a one-time book award of $500 for one academic year (fall or spring only) to be utilized in the KU Campus Book Store.
The KU STEM Scholarship is awarded to twenty five incoming first-year students who are academically qualified and intend to major in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs and whose backgrounds indicate that he or she will make an outstanding contribution to the Kutztown University campus community. Beginning in fall 2017, selected students will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The award is renewable for up to four years of consecutive fall and spring enrollment providing that the student maintains a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, completes a minimum of 24 credits each academic year, and maintains satisfactory academic progress. This award is available only for fall and spring courses.
